Gasoil Hardness Background info
Soft, Medium, Hard and Hard Twist
All the Gasoil fins can be delivered in different stiffnesses.
Soft. the tip of your fin should feel a bit softer compared to a medium of hard fin. The softer tip will allow you to start planing earlier, which could be in handy with lighter winds.
Medium. Most of the fins delivered by Gasoil , are in medium stiffness. This covers the need of most of the windsurfers.
Hard. Do you like strong winds and pushing hard on your back foot, then go for the hard one. This could be great with a CHR-M
Hard Twist
Now this is, again, something new! the HTs regulate pressure and generate less turbulence. By deforming under the effect of water pressure, the fin re-establishes the ideal values between pressure and depression and produces less drag. The icing on the cake is that when the gusts hit, the HT does not produce any lift, which means instead of fighting to keep your board low, you will accelarate
info: All the Gasoil fins can be ordered in the HT version. The classic hardness (medium, soft, hard) are replaced by Hard Twist. Although this seems like a small difference, the dynamic behaviour of the fin is very different. Unlike a fin with a blocked twist, it moves in the direction of a perfect laminar flow.
